I was at work, doing a typical job task on my knees stocking cameras. Upon getting up, I had an intense pain, pull and pop in my knee. The doctor says X-rays show a break or fracture of the bone behind the knee.

Workers Compensation Claims Management says it isn't a typical injury and it is under investigation. I have to tell you that I just settled a two year old claim with them a few months ago. I have not had an injury to my knee, and I'm baffled as to why it's under investigation.

Can they deny this claim?

The Workmans Compensation Board can deny any claim. It is a matter of the substance of the claim, the date it occurred, and the seriousness of the injury.

Your prior claim should not in and of itself be grounds for a denial of your present claim.
