Workers Comp Information Needed...

I need some workers comp information for an injury I suffered at work. I was washing dishes at work and I did not realize there were knives in the bottom of the sink. I was cut. I did not receive an incident report nor did my manager send me for a drug test.

My manager clearly stated to me that I only have 45 minutes left to work. The next day I went to the Emergency Room for pain in my finger and they gave me a tetanus shot. Am I entitled to worker's comp payments for this?

Getting a Tetanus shot was an excellent idea. If you are fortunate to have suffered only a cut and are able to work, there would not appear to be sufficient grounds for a Workers Compensation Claim.

Hopefully your employer will pay for any medical and out of pocket expenses you incurred. Out of pocket expenses can include such things as bandages, medicine, and similar items related to the treatment of your cut.

Since laws change frequently and across jurisdictions you should get a personalized case evaluation from an attorney licensed in your state (if you haven't already). Find an experienced local attorney to give you a FREE personalized case review here.
