Dont Sign Until You Have Consulted with an Attorney
by: Law Lady

Not only do you need to review the settlement agreement, your attorney must explain the contents and make sure that you understand what you are signing.

Secondly, most states REQUIRE an attorney to go over these documents. Understand that what you are signing is binding; Once it is submitted to the insurance company, it is difficult if not impossible to re-negotiate the terms.

So, please do not sign the Settlement Agreement until you have spoken with an attorney.

Since laws change frequently and across jurisdictions you should get a personalized case evaluation from an attorney licensed in your state (if you haven't already). Find an experienced local attorney to give you a FREE personalized case review here.

Best of luck,
