Product Liability Lawsuit Against Pharmaceutical Company...

by Vaughn
(Hays, Kansas)

I had a bad reaction to dilantin. I have been going around and around with the pharmaceutical company for a while now. I just wanted to know if there is a time frame within which the defendant has to respond to the plaintiff in a product liability lawsuit? Thank you!

Vaughn:

There is a time limit for answering a lawsuit in a products liability case. In most states the time limit, otherwise known as the Statute of Limitations, is 2 years from the date of service (the date the petition was formally received by the defendant).

Since laws change frequently and across jurisdictions you should get a personalized case evaluation from an attorney licensed in your state (if you haven't already). Find an experienced local attorney to give you a FREE personalized case review here.
