Auto Accident Legal Advice Needed...

(USA)
I was in an auto accident and need some legal advice. I was inching out of a gas station to see around a snow bank when all of a sudden I was t-boned. I don't know how fast the other person was going but I wasn't going over 5 miles per hour. I didn't even see her. I was cut out of the car.
I suffered a fractured pelvis in two different spots. The other driver didn't even go to the hospital. She signed off on it. It has been 2 months. Now all of a sudden she has a lawyer. How can she sue me?

ANSWER for "Auto Accident Legal Advice Needed...":
It would be interesting to know if you were issued a citation by the police, especially if the citation was for “failing to yield right of way.” Regretfully, if you were inching out of a gas station onto a street or highway and there wasn’t a traffic light or stop sign, then the person you hit probably had the right of way.
Anyone can file a lawsuit against anyone else. All it takes is a legal petition and a filing fee. That doesn’t necessarily mean they are right and are going to prevail. You can certainly counter-sue if you choose.
If it is any consolation, as long as you had sufficient automobile liability insurance your life should be uninterrupted. Your insurance company should fully protect and defend your interests.
Since laws change frequently and across jurisdictions you should get a personalized case evaluation from an attorney licensed in your state (if you haven't already). Find an experienced local attorney to give you a
